Ulting Wick I visit on average some 120 gardens per year ! The long summer vac allows me this invaluable visiting indulgence, though it takes meticulous planning ! Horticulture and in particular, garden making, is thriving around the country and anyone that disagrees should simply get out more and visit a few gardens ! One that in particular left a strong impression was Ulting Wick. Most famous it seems for the exuberant tulip displays in spring, and which I have yet to see! However, in late summer, the garden does reveal a masterful plantsmanship that must rank it amongst one of the finest contemporary gardens currently being created in the country.
